It has been found that those with average intelligence outperform those with high intelligence most of the time. It's because emotional intelligence, the process of effectively managing our own emotions,is a determinant of success in life. Low EQ can negatively impactour professional and/or personal relationships. EQ is often the distinguishing trait in successful leaders and managers; therefore we strive to increase our overall EQ.
